Brand new MacBook pro...
I've been working off an older model MacBook Pro since at least about 2019, the last model to have an Intel processor. The recent updates to MacOS have been destroying the poor thing, and it just couldn't keep up. Between that (thanks Liquid Glass...) and the updates to the Adobe Suite, doing real work on that machine was like pulling teeth. Opening Photoshop? Click the button then go make some soup, because its going to be a while before you can do anything. And don't even mention AfterEffects.
MacBook Pro 16" M4 Max...
The new MacBook has the M4 Max chip..and so far it screams. Very, very fast and responsive. Photoshop and Illustrator are fully open and ready in seconds. I haven't tried video on it yet but I can imagine it will also just scream through it.
New Projects for the New Year...
This is the time of year when things wind down for a few weeks at Vid Monster, and I've already got a full dance card. Three separate projects I've been gearing up to work on. One is an electronics project, one is a possible side business, one is helping someone out with their business. Its enough variety to keep me entertained for a bit.
